    Share:

120V voltage protector AC protects sensitive electronic equipment and motors of household machines from damage caused by overvoltage or undervoltage conditions.

K12ARD AC Voltage Protector Outlet with Australian Plug Feature:

    1. Protect equipment: The function of the voltage protector is to protect electrical equipment from overvoltage. Whether it is caused by lightning, operating errors, or other reasons, the overvoltage protector can respond quickly and limit the overvoltage to a safe range, thereby protecting the equipment from damage.

    2. Maintain system stability: The voltage protector not only protects individual equipment but also maintains the stability of the entire power system. When an abnormal overvoltage occurs in the system, the rapid action of the overvoltage protector can effectively reduce its impact on other parts of the system and avoid causing greater system fluctuations.

    3. Prevent fault spread: Once electrical equipment is damaged by overvoltage, it may cause a chain failure and affect the operation of the entire system. At this time, the timely action of the overvoltage protector can effectively isolate the faulty equipment, prevent the further spread of the fault, and ensure the normal operation of other equipment.

    4. Provide safety protection: For staff and equipment, overvoltage is a huge safety hazard. The existence of overvoltage protectors not only protects electrical equipment but also provides a safer working environment for staff.

How To Check Voltage Protector Outlet

    1. Inspect the Outlet for Physical Damage
Visual Inspection: Look for any signs of physical damage, scorch marks, or burnt smell around the protector. If the device appears damaged, it might not be effective, and you should replace it.

Check the Indicator Light: Voltage protector outlet have a built-in indicator light that shows whether the protector is functioning. If the light is off or blinking, it could indicate that the device is faulty or not providing Voltage protection anymore.

    2. Check the Voltage with a Multimeter
To verify that the voltage protector outlet is properly regulating the voltage, you can use a digital multimeter to check the voltage at the outlet.

Set the Multimeter to AC Voltage: Make sure your multimeter is set to measure AC voltage (usually denoted as “V~”).
Insert the Probes: Insert the black (negative) probe into the ground slot of the outlet, and the red (positive) probe into the hot (live) slot.
Measure the Voltage: The standard voltage for outlets in most regions is 120V (North America) or 230V (Europe, Asia). The multimeter should show this voltage reading if the outlet is functioning properly.
If you have a voltage protector outlet with multiple outlets, you can check each one individually to make sure each is providing the proper voltage.

    3. Replace the voltage protector outlet if Necessary
If the voltage protector outlet doesn’t show the correct voltage, the indicator light is off, or the outlet seems faulty, it may be time to replace the outlet voltage protector. voltage protector outlet have a limited lifespan, especially after multiple surges, and once they have been “spent,” they may no longer protect your equipment.
